Cannes is one of the best known cities on the French Riviera, host to the famous Cannes Film Festival. Cannes has many luxury restaurants, shops and hotels including the Miramar and the Martinez. The La Croisette is the waterfront street with palm trees, known for picturesque beaches, restaurants, cafés and many designer boutiques. Tour the city on the little tourist train (departure point: the Parvis of the Palais des Festivals, facing the hotel Majestic) hop off at Le Suquet for a guided visit of the Musée de la Castre, located at the summit of the old town and then hop on the train to return to the Palais or descend on foot through the narrow cobbled streets and steps, coming onto the rue Meynadier to return to the Town Hall and to the port.Sites to See

Beaches
PLAGE DU CASINO - The public beach near to the Palais des Festival at the Western end of the Croisette stretches from the Hotel Majestic to the end, near to the vieux port.
PLAGE ROYAL - The Plage Royal is a private beach and restaurant opposite the Grand Hotel. The cost for a sun bed for a whole day is 18€ or a half day costs 15€, the parasols are extra (6€). You will need to bring your own beach towel, there are changing and washing facilities inside the club.
PALM BEACH - The beaches of Palm beach are a little walk away from the Croisette but have a completely different atmosphere from those on the Croisette, here the beach is more family orientated as the waters are very shallow.
